Best New York Shopping Malls and Department Stores

Looking to get your shop on? New York City offers so many incredible shopping malls and department stores. Below find a few of our favorite with some notes about each.

New York Shopping Malls

Queens Center Mall: Offers a good variety of stores including Urban Outfitters, Macy’s, Victoria’s Secret, Foot Locker, Godiva and countless others. It also has a great food court with fan favorites KFC, Sbarro, Nathans and several other delectable destinations. Downside is that it can get pretty crowded, especially on the weekends. The mall can be conveniently reached via bus or train from NYC and is located at 9015 Queens Blvd in Elmhurst, NY

 

Time Warner Center: Highlights are the larger than life Whole Foods, Coach, Bouchon Bakery, H&M, Bose and highly acclaimed Per Se. Also, don’t miss the breathtaking view of Central Park from the third floor. Located in Manhattan at 10 Columbus Circle (between West Central Park & Broadway).

 

The Shops at Atlas Park: This mall offers up a movie theater, several housewares stores, and an Amish Market grocery store. Atlas Park is a short drive from Manhattan and offers plenty parking. Located in Glendale, NY at 8000 Cooper Ave.

 

Sky View Center: Has many of the big name stores, including Target, BJs, Best Buy and Old Navy. Sky View has 3 hour free parking making it more than worth the ride over. Located in Downtown Flushing at 40-24 College Point Blvd.

 

New York Department Stores

Bloomingdale’s SOHO: Has the finest products around. This specific store is know to have a very attentive salesforce as compared to other Bloomingdales. Located at 504 Broadway (between Broome St & Spring St).

 

Barneys New York: Carries what seems to be everything from the world’s top designers. Located at 660 Madison Ave in Manhattan.

 

Saks Fifth Avenue: If you’re a shopaholic, you will get your fix at Saks. Also, indulge in a mani-pedi at the in-store salon. Located at 611 5th Ave (between 51st St & 52nd St).

 

Lord & Taylor: Known for offering all the best luxury brands. Wait for their next sale and load up on what your heart desires. Located in Manhattan at 424 5th Ave (between 39th St & 38th St).
